South Asia Hub – India
The South Asia Regional Hub is based at the new Centre for Control of Chronic Conditions (CCCC) recently launched in New Delhi, India. This centre an international partnership between four institutions: the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (New Delhi), Emory University, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the Public Health Foundation of India.
The Centre’s vision is to generate world class knowledge which can impact policy and practice aimed at reducing the burden of chronic conditions worldwide. The CCCC aims to carry out cutting edge science to understand the dynamics, determinants and dimensions of chronic conditions with an innovative and integrated approach, and to develop, evaluate and help scale up evidence-based solutions. The CCCC has already pioneered a number of such integrative studies, from urban and rural cohorts evaluating innovative models of care.
